What are you restoring ? Is there something wrong with the watch ?
Movement will require replacing due to battery damage by original owner.
I shall be changing the colour of the day and second hands.
With all my watches I plan to restore the case, bracelet etc to as close a factory finish as possible using buffing and polishing materials.

The tips of the hand lifters I have are about 1 mm thick, so I could not get under the chrono / retro day / second hands !

Used a poly bag with the finest precision screwdriver + scalpel to try to lift the hands off.
Sadly in the process they broke free from the barrel .

I can source replacement hands that will fit the 0.25 dia. pinions but they are 14 mm long.
My hands are 2 x 4 mm and 1 x 5 mm

Can anyone advise on the best way to cut-off / shorten (without distorting) them?
