The humble omni-present F-91W deserves a proper review.

The offical US data page is:

http://www.casio.com/products/Timepiece/Classic/F91W-1/

Where I live this watch is worn more than all other watches together with a distance.
The village and surrounding country side has 5000 inhabitants and over the past 10 years the local basar has sold one a day on average.

The battery indeed lasts about 7 years but the real life performance is around +/- 10 seconds per month.

I have several because it is such a fun watch that is making my 8 y.o. son a wis :)

The two ´weak´ spots; the strap and the wr I have solved with my F-911W EVO:

To back up this review with something solid I have taken this literally and just now dropped a brand new F-91W in a cup of water and put it at -20 degrees centigrade in the freezer.
I will report with a foto of solid evidence based experience later this day :57:

Because the wath is sold by the míllions, the fake business is producing them too. It is easy to spot those when you know how:

Seven hours later, solidly frozen at -20 Centigrade:

Next up is snorkling in the Mediterranean.
If it survives we will drop it from the climbing wall on monday.

Nice, I just bought one to use mountain biking or whatever.

I'm not sure I love it as is, I'm planning to heavily mod it in some way, but I do love the price, $10 new and authentic.

I'm now looking at g-shock 5600's though...

You cannot go wrong with this watch. Cheap and reliable. If you damage it or lose it you just buy another one without a second thought.

They look good on NATO straps, too. But it's better to convert the NATO to a RAF-type strap, as without that a strap thickness tends to overwhelm the watch.
