He made an offer on a watch of mine and then dissapeared. he sounds an awful lot like someone else who scammed me a few years ago also from the Florida area. If i'm wrong I apologise. Sure some suspicious activity going around :(

Can you please elaborate? Do you think this might be Allan "Jeff" George (aka Tuffy, trustguy1, trustguy, Corvettetime, LolaGirl, Pilotjag, sayhitomy45, A.J.George, Jeff George, Alan George, Suanne George, etc.) the infamous watch scammer from multiple types of hobby forums:

It could be that he changed his mind or couldn't afford the watch after all, and just didn't have the courtesy to send an email to say so.
