Beauty and the beaters :)

Here are all 6 of my 6139-600x chronographs, 4 I consider the 'beauties' and the other two are the beaters .. The one I wear most is actually the black dialled 'beater' with an aftermarket black/red bezel .. the bracelet on that is actually off a 6138-3000 and is a bit wider than the normal fishbone bracelet that would come with a 6139-6000.

I am also posting these photos for reference purposes .. apart from the non-original coke bezel and bracelet everything else on the others is original and as it should be.

The 1969 blue Speedtimer with the notch case of course has a non-original bracelet.

If anyone is interested, i've taken photos of most of my collection of Seiko chronographs here : https://www.dropbox.com/sh/s33qccej0gbja2k/AAAUeRqoHQ_cP_DtDmLkRWLua .. there are definitely a few more that I didn't fish up in time for the photos :)

Mine too!, I much prefer the blue and black dials - and the Kanji day wheel just puts the icing on the cake.
A lovely collection!

I'm in the process of trading for a blue one and can't wait to get my hands on it. The black with those red accents is on my most wanted list.
nice group.... you need to buy an indicator ring from Stefan for that -6032.

ugliest watches this side of the Pacific ! How anyone can walk around with one of those on their wrist and a smile on their face beats me...

...this being said, the day you tire of any one them I'll be willing to 'stoop down' to help preserve Seiko cultural heritage --as a purely uninterested gesture of course ^^

Yes, you really do...grab it whilst it's available, I doubt we will see them come around again anytime soon. EDIT - Actually look s like you all ready did for 6032, beautiful. Must be the coke bezel on the pogue that confused me....

And how about looking at Clockblokes tips for restoring that black inner bezel on the beater - nothing to loose and his results looked ace. I've still to try it, but I definitely will do. (I have had good results restoring yellow ones if anyone is interested)
Best thread title I've seen in awhile. :)
I second that!

I don't think he did as the indicator ring in the -6032 appears ever so slightly faded and the triangle looks to be missing some lume.

the lume triangle was knocked off by the watchmaker while servicing the watch, I don't know how he managed to hit it, crystal hasn't been replaced. It's possible that it was on the verge of falling off though ..

The watch is all original as is ..
