But I think I've identified another Senna watch. While watching Senna on Netflix today I saw this:

Senna raced for Toleman in 1984, before his Tag Heuer sponsorship. What do you think race fans? Is that a Casio? My best guess is the Casio TS-1000, introduced in 1982:

Update: this race is definitely Monaco 1984, where he famously took 2nd in the rain while chasing down Alain Prost. The race was stopped less than half way through. A couple more laps and he would have taken the lead. Here he is on the podium with the watch:

Here he is the next season, in 1985 when he raced for Lotus in the John Player Special. That's the Seiko SSBA022 Speedmaster

84 could be a First Gen G-Shock DW-5000C (released in 1983) or even the more popular DW-5200C "Hero". The Casio you've picked is a bit slim, the DW-5000 is a chunky, steel cased beast! I really hope it is one, I love these classic Casios!

He did take the lead by passing Prost who subsequently insisted the race be red flagged account driving conditions. The steward(s) agreed and awarded to the win to the driver who was in the lead after the last completed lap. That was of course Prost.

I loved to watch Senna race. He was such an amazing talent. At the time of his F1 championship runs I worked at a small company while at university. The owners wife was from Brazil and a huge Senna fan.

Mike Sir I agree and Senna was still the greatest Driver in F1 History although Lewis is definitely up there with him and Schumacher now.👍

Back in the late 1980's, early 90's I really followed F1 and saw Senna racing live at Silverstone (multiple times), Spa 1992 (Schumacher's first win), Donnington 1993 (European GP), San Marino 1993, but sadly not at Magne Coeur in 1994.
In 1993, at Silverstone, I was within a couple of feet of him in the paddock and was going to ask him to sign my programme for my (then 11 year old) son, who accompanied me on these adventures, but he was busy chatting to several others, so didn't disturb him, thinking that there will be other chances..........
