Hi all - I recently bid for a 6138 on a local auction site - the sellers description was "Seiko chronograph, not working, buttons missing" and the picture was very poor showing a 6138 in who knows what condition. I bid 290 Rand (about 39 USD or so) and won. The watch arrived yesterday and wow, what a beaut. It's in almost pristine condition and runs perfectly! The stop function had been pushed, hence no second hand movement. A push set it going immediately, all the functions work perfectly and it's keeping good time. I'm so chuffed - it's my first 6138-0030 and all I need now are the pushers and I'm set. At the moment I've got sticky tape covering the holes to keep dirt out. Cheers from Cape Town

Hey Julian
Now that is a thing of beauty at any price! But at the price you paid, it is a gem!
6138's are definitely high-end quality and some of my most favourite watches.
I am so happy that you made this awesome discovery. Congratulations, I know she'll give you many years of very good service...
Regards
Alvin
