Hi,
This blue symbol of a dragon/serpent entwined on a column, is inside the glass back of a SEIKO SNZB59.
Does anybody know what it is, or means?
See attachment.

Black Circle Font Auto part Wheel

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

any chance it could be a retailer's mark? Does Seiko allow that? the local Seiko (Philippines) doesn't. Any chance the Seiko retailer for that country of origin was allowed to mark its wares?

LongBike you may be onto something.

It appears "RYUJIN", is the Japanese Dragon God of the Sea.

So, that may be the dragon part.

But, what is the pillar all about?
Why is it inside the case back?

Most importantly, what does it all mean?

Many thanks to everyone to is contributing here.

The centre pillar/column is shown in a form that most would accept as such, fluted with a scroll top. The Chinese are known to create such images in their culture. I would assume the Chinese factory that manufactured the watches for Seiko were permitted to include the label.

Here you go,

Chinese dragons are legendary creatures in Chinese mythology and Chinese folklore. ... Chinese dragons traditionally symbolize potent and auspicious powers, particularly control over water, rainfall, typhoons, and floods. The dragon is also a symbol of power, strength, and good luck for people who are worthy of it.
