I expect because it's a lot easier to do the flat black finish of a 6105 than the dark green sunburst finish of the 6217.
An usual and strange dial customisation, 6217/6105 ?
I was sorting through some spares and came across this dial I picked up a few year back.
Looks to me as though a 62mas dial has been customised into a 6105 dial ?
I wonder why someone went this way ?
