A King for a day...every day i think

5625-7014 Just arrived in the mail from Japan. Accurate (enough) and in very tidy condition. The case back is very tight so I've given up trying to open it. It can be my watch makers problem when it gets serviced.

My 3rd Seiko, my 2nd King and my 1st 'tradition' KS design. I think the design is more striking in person than in photos. Collectors have told me to pick a niche and stick with it. This may be my niche. This is going to get expensive.

My niche is "the 1970's". I believe this was a "golden age" for watches. Your king Seiko fits right in.
I was watching this auction, too.

A very good piece for a great price IMO!

Congrats, good luck with the crystal search and looking forward to the finished piece :)

Best,
Hermann
After a while you graduate to GS and then yen is really funny money! Nice KS you have there.
i have no idea where i'll find a crystal. Its clean except for the chip at the 3 o'clock, and i intend on wearing it so i'll enjoy it while i'll search.

What is the part number for this crystal?

There is one on the bay in the uk. Not cheap, but by all accounts a rare thing. Is there a way to determine the exact diameter and thickness of the 300v16gns? Is non-genuine an option? I know it's not ideal for a collectable, but for something that will get worn two days a week it might be necessary at some point for me.

Should be 30mm diameter from the part number.
Boley.de lists them and there's a Swedish "watchdealer"- hint, that has them in stock , but at nearly £60 a pop.
Don't forget when searching for the part number, to include an extra "0" on the end.

I only have Gilt ones!
That is very beautiful! I am a diver guy through and through, but this has me re-thinking things! Kevin.
Nice! I was watching that one as well, glad it went to one of us here! I have both the silver and blue dialed versions. Definitely one of Seikos finest dress watch designs.
A true legend, the official chronometer versions - all of them.

Enjoy !
