I just bought this PVD Seiko 5 Superior, and not only was it my first watch in PVD, but my first grey dial as well.

OK, I'm scraping the bottom of the barrel here. This is one of a three Timex sub-$20 eBay deal, and my only grey dial. So far.

The cool thing about this Seiko is that it fades from gray....

Here is a nice vintage grey example.

It is a 6106-5470. I also have a womens version of this watch that I referbed for my wife. The wifes watch has started acting a little funny, I guess it is time for a service.

Not mine but one just finished for a customer, a 6119-8090 from November of 1969 with "proof" back. In light of all the dive watches and chronos I've kept for myself, I'd forgotten how handsome these understated basic designs are...



Look at that detailing on the markers. You don't see this too often these days on "entry level" watches.
