It is certainly a masterpiece of marketing....i would love to read what the bloke has to say about Invicta. Maybe something along the lines of "Big, bold machines that evoke the spirit of famous watches"
Ingersoll will always be the company best known for inventing and popularizing the "dollar watch" and later on their Micky Mouse watch was also a hit. Westclox was a main "dollar watch" competitor and my 1st two watches were both Westclox dollar watches, but by the early 1960s they cost more than a dollar I bought this example of a dollar watch 20 some years ago, simply because I remembered lusting over it as a kid in the display case at Western Auto and I had never been willing to pony up the $$ for it, more than double as I recall.
I have this Ingersoll, It is a very well constructed watch, Hand wind, Screw down crown, Rotating bezel, Decorated movement, Bracelet is better than most Seiko bracelets...So to each there own
some quick shots...
