7S26 movement ?

1124 Views 5 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Scubafan
I have a 7S26 0030 seiko diver that needs a new movement...can I get a cheap seiko 5 w/ 7S26B movement and swap the movements ? They both have stem at 4 oclock...does the diver need a longer stem ? I have dial/hands/new crown...any advice would be appreciated.

Wow...that was pretty hostile...I did not know that happened ? If I did, I apologize, and will try to do better. Don't you think it would have been better to pm me with something like that...rather than embarass me ??
Yes you can use the "B" movement and also the 7s36.
If your using a dress watch as a donor then the likelihood is that you will require a longer stem.
The 7s26 0030 crown is not a 4 oclock its at 3:18 but then so are the majority of the 7s26/36 family.
The dial /movement spacer is also thinner on some 7s26 based watches so may need swapping over as well.

No, not really. You should be embarrassed. Not hostile , just truthful.
