Hello, I hope I placed this in the correct area. I have a 1978 seiko 7049 and I have a question about the crown tube threads. The attached picture shows the threads using a 10x loupe. They are even clearer when I view them by eye. I can clearly see the threads look like shark fins, not a typical thread that I've ever seen. It's important to note that I don't think they are stripped. The crown will screw on finger tight, and I haven't tightened more than that. If they were stripped, I'd expect them to be gone. They are clearly there but the shape is odd. Anybody seen this before? Are they misshapen?
Thanks a bunch.
