I recently found a really decent 7002 case in mt repair bin with everything but the movement and thought what could I put in...? so I am asking the group what is available to just drop in...can I put in a 6309 or is it very specificaly a 7002 movement...??? I don't want to put somethin I don't have available and if not I will just put this complete case and crown up for sale...
Many thanks in advance

Several movements will fit, 7005, 7006, 7009, 7019, 7025. In each case you will have to use a 7002 date wheel as the 7002 is the only movement out of the above that has the crown at true 4 O'clock. In the case of the above movements its best to remove the day wheel and the day wheel quickset componets where they are fitted.
63xx movements will fit, but not easily.

See my thread from last week where I put an NH36 (if you want to go new, hand winding and hacking) in a 7006.

The NH36 will fit the case, but you will not be able to align the date wheel to the widow of the dial because the NH is for a crown at 3 or 3.18 case, the 7002 case has crown at 4

The 7002 date wheel will not interchange with the wheel of an NH36.
If you use an NH36 in a 7002, you will need a no calendar dial.

True. I forgot :(

There's a similar movement to the NH with the date at four or take the date disc off a 7S26 that everyone has lying around....:)
