A recent thread mentioned how Mike and Polly saved an old Seiko and revived it to pay homage to a Rolex, hence a "Seikolex".

Here is my addition: I got this '79 6309- Dress and found the dial inspired me to pay homage to the Rolex Explorer I, just like Mike's. The original Explorer is the classic icon watch where simplicity = elegance. This is more Seiko-ish with the day and date at 3 o'clock and all batons but the triangle at top and the perfect colors let it come off very Seikolex-ian.

Mercedes hands and a new NOS OEM Seiko crystal and a major clean up. The old' gal even has decent lume on the markers. So here you go........

And I'd never realised what Seikolex stood for....

I just thought you guys were messing about with some old, obscure seiko model.
Where's the icon for Facepalm ?

I am, very much, liking the style though.

Thanks for sharing

Kind Regards

Graham
