I have a 1978 6306-7001 Scubapro.

As far as I can tell it is all original. The handset isn't the best though, some pitting on the edges, worse on the minute & second hands. I am also sure they have had a relume at some point as they glow more than the dial.

Is it possible to get NOS hands or would that just look weird as the lume wouldn't match?

Or am I just being fussy & should leave it be.

I agree; the patina looks nice with that watch. I have seen some NOS 6309/6306 hand sets on the Bay, but there's a lot of character that comes from the age on some hands.

When I bought this watch, the silver finish was nearly completely corroded, so I had to sand them down, buff them, and re-plate them. I had considered replacements as well but I am quite pleased with the results.

Cheers everyone, not sure what happened to the original photos but here they are, dial is great but hands, not so great:

I'd also like to pass on my thanks to John for helping to sort out an issue with the crown, much appreciated :)

:sigh::13::iagree:, since its original it will alter its complete character
if it is changed.
The originals don't look that bad at all, I would not touch
it at all. I'd like to get some hands that look like that also
for a watch I have here to finish it.
