Hi
I have the same problem with a couple of Seiko 6139 chromos.
The balance is spinning nicely but the second hand does not move from the 12 o'clock position even when I go through the pusher sequence:
1 - top pusher starts second hand
2 - top pusher stops second hand
3 - bottom pusher returns second hand to zero.

Any idea what could be stopping the second hands from moving?

Thanks

Chris

It might be worth having a read through of the tech guide addendum here - http://thewatchsite.com/d1/files/Seiko_techguide_addendum_700x_613x.pdf

A few possibilities that would really need a good look at to know for sure.
Are you saying that it does not move at all from the reset position??
How does the tone keeping work? Does it keep tone in both chrono stop and supposedly chrono running modes?

Got a pic if the movement?

Just a thought with the case back open does the pusher actually engage the start mechanism. Does it click positively? Try to push the start mechanisms with a screwdriver. It might need a little force. Pusher may be full of grime and hence not long enough to push.

Thanks for all the suggestions.
The technical guide was really helpful. The pusher was not engaging sufficiently so all sorted now.
