I was lucky to come across a really good example of a Seiko 6117-6400 World Timer and I have a question that a search on Google and the forum could not answer.

I understand that you set your city on the the inner “city” bezel to the 24hr hand, but:
1) should that bezel travel with the 24 hr hand (so as it’s 10am in NYC it continues to match the time throughout the day for NYC). In other words it,s automatic
OR
2) is it that anytime you want to know the time elsewhere you have to turn the bezel to match your local time again. In others you need to continually update the city bezel throughout the day.

I couldn’t find a manual in the manual section and only found technical references. Thank you in advance.

You gotta turn the ring for yourself. It does not turn automatically after you set it once.
