I picked up this great 1970 DX - a 6106, with a 6106c 17 jewel movement in it. Got it for $12.50. Seller said it didn't run at all, but when I got it here it got going with a tiny amount of persuasion. Movement was dirty, but it started running without too much fuss. It runs slowly however - five, ten minutes slow in a day is typical.

What would a service cost on this? Any point in reworking it? What would you do?

You may want to watch e$bay for another watch with a 6106 that is advertised as working and keeping time. I'm sure you could pick up a dress model in a beat up gold colored case for a lot less than a service.
