High dome or low dome, it has to fit properly. Glass fixing ring holds it in (no araldite). Full disclosure is paramount.

No offence but I'm a watchmaker - I know this bit :)

It must be cold in Blighty - you're rubbing your hands together
I've tried both of Jonathan's, type I and type III in my 6105, and I much prefer the type I. But it's going to be down to the buyer's personal preference, how about offering the watch for sale with a choice of either, with installation included in the price?
I find a lower dome gives the dial more depth, imho.
High dome crystal is a scratches magnet.
agree... but imho the 6105 looks so sexy with a high dome (type I ?) crystal
from purely a collector perspective, it shoudl be original or close to original and should fit properly...I do like sapphire with AR that matches the original specs....
According to Jonathan Koch early versions of the watch sported a high dome (but with a flat top) before they switched to the low dome that was less prone to chipping. The high dome has a different slope to the bevel which leaves a bigger gap between the crystal and the bezel insert which is not as aesthetically pleasing as the low dome IMHO.
