6105-811X versus 6105-800X wear ability ?

Which do you prefer as a every day wearer ?

I wear my 6105-8119 95% of the time and it fits like a glove, just feels right and i keep trying to wear my 800X but it just seems to sit to long/flat and not curl round my wrist like the 8119, any one else find this or is it just my wrist size 7 - 7 1/4 ?

I really like the conventional look though of the 8000, it might even be that i just havent found the right bracelet as of yet.

The 8110 by far. I have a small wrist myself (71/2") and even though the 6105-8000's are COOL they just feel a little small to me. LOVE the big case 6105's. Cheers -Ronbo

Never had the pleasure of trying on an 8000, my 8119 is my daily. The 8000 was on my wish list for a while, not sure I will pursue one in the future or not.
I find them both equally comfortable but I dont like the 800x on a bracelet personally. My favorite setup is a tropic on the 811X and a nato for the 800x.

plus 1 on that!NATO is very nice for 800x 8) 8)
In my case, I have to give it to the 8000 on the comfort stakes. Somehow the 8110 does not quite sit happily on my bony wrist but the level of comfort does depend hugely on what type of strap I am using. The most comfy option with either version is a NATO. I have the 8000 currently on the MM300 rubber and that is ok but put the same strap on the 8110 and I find it irritatingly uncomfortable. The 6309's on the other hand and always comfortable, whatever the strap.

I don't have a 811x, only a 8000 and it's very comfy on the wrist, strap or bracelet.
Most of modern divers are bigger, heavier and taller, not a good thing imho.

As for the 811x -the addition of a cushion always make things much more cofortable ;D
I do not have the pleasure of owning a 811x, But my 8000 is very comfy, My wrist is somewhat flat on top, That may help.

I only own the 6105-8110 and I love it!!!! It sure would be nice to have one of the 8000 but most likely not in the cards for this kid.

Mark.
I have the 8119 on a william jean repro. I have a 6" wrist and it's quite comfortable for me. I should also note that this is the first auto that has taken over the daily wearer spot. usually it's a quartz that is my daily. I would love to own an 800x as well, but the hunt goes on.
I only have the 8110 and have found that it sits much better since I put it on an Anvil bracelet. Previously it was on a Di Dhronissimo and it wasn't quite balanced.

Have you tried the boil cure on the MM strap? It is the only thing that makes wearable to me. Works on the 6105 and on a 6139...

I have 7.5" wrists and since I'm not a fan of NATOs nor the original rubber straps that either of these 6105's came with I opted for the 2 pce Zulu for the 6105-8000 and a bracelet for the 6105-8110 and both wear with equal comfort.

I've never tried an 8000 but my 8119 (on waffle) is the most comfortable large watch I've experienced.
My 8110 is by FAR THE MOST comfortable watch I have ever owned! It fits so well on my wrist that I hardly know I'm wearing a watch at all! I currently have mine on a Black Sharkskin band but from time to time will switch it back and forth and put it on Wills waffle!

Great look. Really nice balance.
Can you tell me if you had to mod the endpiece of the Anvil to fit the 19mm 6105 lug size, and if so, how you did it.

Thanks for info.
Cheers,
Daniel

The end pieces to fit the 6105 are available from the same guy that sells the Anvil (yobokies), do a search on the Sales Forum.
