Hi guys,

According to the reference documents I could find, the 4006A movement should have a casing spring. Is this true for all Bell-Matics or do some have a different system to hold the movement? Some Bell-Matics I've seen for sale do not appear to have a casing spring and when I ask the seller about it they seem perplexed. Maybe I'm a bit off in thinking they should all have the casing spring? Help anyone?

Thanks,
Curt

ALL 4006 movements should have a casing spring, these are often missing from watches on Ebay etc, either lost, corroded or simply not in there.

Thanks guys.

And thanks for the picture with labeling Tiger, much appreciated. One of the sellers I questioned did finally get back to me and admitted the watch was missing the casing spring. Seems a lot of Seiko models have this problem and it's tough finding new(er) ones. Does anyone supply after-market casing springs that you know of? I can't seem to find any.
