Hi all,

I posted a few months back about my 6309-7049 and the fact that I wasn't getting enough crown rotations when screwing her down. I bought it this way (unknowingly) and took a risk on that auction site but I really loved her patina. I feared the dreaded stripped crown stem. My fears were warranted but with the great help of this forum, I was given the name of a fantastic watchmaker here in Germany who was able to source a similarly worn but functioning 6309 case. I'd like to give a nice welcome back to my 6309...

Next up was a nice-ish 6139-6005 that I purchased from the same auction site out of a pawn shop in Pennsylvania. She arrived running well but when going from a cold house to a warm outside, I noticed light fogging. Well...the same watchmaker has given her a great service with new seals. The 6139 has returned...

This morning was like getting 2 new watches! Should keep me out of trouble for awhile!

Cheers all!

Mike
