Circuit board is either on its way out or it needs a service. your getting a short via the buttons . 391, 386, 389, LR44 is only a milli amp per hour issue , nothing to do with the supplied voltage
You will probably find soon the light stays on and you have to pull the crown to turn it off
Needs a complete overhaul and possibly a new or working circuit board
