Droyal Anthony, thank you so much for weighing in. Your explanation is plausible. Looks like this will remain somewhat of a mystery. But that is what makes our hobby fun. Dave

akable Sorry but I can not give you any info on this one. I am guessing that these were a European only release. I have never seen these as a JDM release. The French marking on the case is unusual as well.

Unfortunately in the 90's there were many models made exclusively for individual markets. This led to a massive number of different models being produced, with the logic being that they could be tailored to the specific regional tastes and requirements. This proved to be unsustainable and also unnecessary as more models for the global market made much more sense.

Droyal I sent up the Bat signal for Anthony (Akable). If anyone knows what this is, he will.

Droyal Thank you. I appreciate the additional information. I've seen some variations on eBay and also the presentation boxes they came in. But never an explanation of what the run of watches was for. The mystery continues. Dave

EDGlimited Seiko Premier Club Sports 150, limited to 2000 pieces, from the year 1994. Designation: SGC 144F Nr.0281 7N22-F050 AO The sports diver version, is even rarer to find than the other design variants from this collection.

You may just have a collectors item, despite it being "blingy".

EDGlimited A quick search, shows Seiko made the following models, in the 7N22 Series. However no mention of one ending in F050. Maybe contact Seiko, for more info.

  1. 7N22-F010
  2. 7N22-F030
  3. 7N22-F060
  4. 7N22-F080

Droyal Neil, it is a fun watch. I'm trying to figure out what this line of Seikos is. My research is coming up with nothing definitive.

Droyal So I had my watchmaker replace the battery and he noted the case back has France inscribed on it. In the early 80s he worked for Seiko in Bangkok and he does not remember France being a place of manufacture for Seiko cases. Anyone else seen France on their casebacks?

Limited production / design run?

The bracelet looks a bit TAG Heuer Kirium-like.

Give me a Monaro any day

nzwatchdoctor There is no Premier Club. They usually just fit in with general (pun right there) Holden owners clubs

Latest Arrival - Seiko Premier Club Sports 150

I landed this at auction. No box, but it appears to be mint with the case back sticker. The bracelet has solid links and appears to be full length. Kinda blingy. I haven’t opened her up yet to replace the battery. My one question is, what is the Premier Club? Also, there is no serial number, only a production number 540/2000. Thanks for any information. Dave
