No way, where did you buy that watch from? I would love to see brand new SKX399s for sale!

m84 Hi all,
2 questions:

- what is supposed to be the correct case back on the 399? I’m looking at one which has ‘JAPAN WP’ just before ‘stainless ...’ but on this thread I’ve seen a few different styles and some that don’t have that bit. Serial starts with 3.

- regarding movements, should these have 7s26A or B?

Thanks

newenough Keep a look out for a skx401. Same watch as the 399 but with the pepsi bezel. Even harder to find and more collectable for it. I have a 399 and enjoy it often. 😀

SEIKO_200m My Watch Here is an SKX399
With English and Spanish Day wheel.

The Watch has had an Omega Deep Sea Bezel Fitted and a Leather Strap.

This is how I purchased the watch but I plan to put a different band on it shortly.

tro_jan Here's my duo.

There are AF dials for these; and I read that the 3 o'clock index is a little bit smaller on the AF dials.

m84 What about dial codes?
Is it possible I have seen a ‘1614 M 2’, instead of the ‘1614 R 2’? What would this mean?

TIA

I'll let you guess what the model is. The bracelet is called the Razor-Wire and it is produced by Uncle Seiko who has a web-site you can order from. To unearth an "old" phrase....."Google is your friend"

Hi Lou, sorry for not responding sooner. I believe the bracelet is a Seiko President....but don't quote me on that.

m84 Hi all,

How can we tell if a 399 is indeed a true 399 and not an 007 (or other) with a 399 dial?
Is there a serial range (which is what I think this topic is aiming for) or some other signs to look out for?

Thanks!
