jringo8769 The person to ask is GuyJ...he has been doing a lot of dial repairs ...i would think if anyone would know he should be able to help...i am sure others will chime in...when i had all of my 6139's...i would have loved to know how to preserve them...

Patina prevention for the Gold 6139's

I've read a few mentions of some people spraying additional lacquer on the dial to prevent patination. Does this actually work? Has anyone here done that and what does the outcome look like?

Like if you noticed a tiny scratch somewhere on the dial but no corrosion. Would you leave it as is?
