Orient Crystal-4964 hexagonal

Here's a sweet vintage piece I got for a song.

it's an Orient Crystal.
Model 4964-7974

As you can see it's got a unique hexagonal shape. I find it a bit tall at 12mm thick, but it wears well.
It's got the original bracelet, but at 18mm I am thinking of trying out a few other straps.
The date wheel is in arabic and english. So my guess is this was a middle eastern model only.

The dial is what got me. I've seen a lot of green sunburst dials (*kof*kof* my Alpinist) and flat green dials (Evant diver) but never seen a light green to dark green fade like this.
The Orient logo is applied, as is the border of the date wheel.

I took the movement out to see the dial without the crystal and it's pristine.
Now to find a way to replace, or polish out, the gouges in the crystal.
(Any ideas there?)

it's in great shape, running about -20 sec/day. It may need a service soon, but I only wear it once every few weeks.

Now to figure out when it was made and find a crystal.

For a vintage piece I love it. It's got style and a very different look.
What do you all think?
