    Hi Ray,

I'm very interested in your 7548-7010, I recognise the slight mark on the bezel, it may well be my old watch. I've been off here for some time, and cannot post a reply to the add. But if you get this - I'll buy

    Kind Regards

If you know of someone let me know. If you want to give it a shot and and if it works fine, I'll pay for whatever you think is fair, if it doesn't work out you can keep it for parts absolutely free. I'd rather move on than to be reminded if I keep it.

Well, here's what happened: I sent it back to Harold once because the crown stopped screwing in, it felt as if the treads had stripped off. When I got it back it would only screw in maybe a about a turn and 1/2 and that soon also stripped off again where it wouldn't catch any threading. Then I saw an MM300 with a triplock crown retrofitted by ken at abouttime and it seemed like that would be a good solution. Ken installed a rolex type screw in crown but it's too small to operate, I can't grip it. Anyway he won't communicate with me and now it's beyond Harold since it's been modified. It really just needs to be longer to protrude through width of shroud. I wish I could send you a picture but I don't know how to from this massage board.

Hi Ray, For the most part I've kinda stepped away from customer based watchmaking, servicing and repair work. However, I still somewhat dabble in case refinishing/restoration services during the cold months.
I haven't had the opportunity to handle one of Harold's Albacore tuna homages, I'm familiar with the watch only on basic levels in regards to what he's chosen to use as parts such as crystal and movt choices.
That being said, what kind of problem are you having with the crown? have you contacted Harold directly about it? He's generally pretty easy to deal with and in my past dealings with him he's always sent me warranty parts for watches that he's previously constructed and sold to US based customers?
