Default PM Problem?

Anyone else having problems sending PM's?

I am logged in, I go to my inbox, I open a PM and try to respond. This is what I get:
Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /private.php on this server.

Anyone...Anyone...Bueller?

No, but the site can be painful to use at times and so I wonder if it's related. Maybe post what browser or os you're on or try logging in with a different browser?

Try logging out, clearing cache and cookies on both devices and logging back in?

Hello there,

Are you PM inbox full?
How many sent items and messages do you have in total?

Well, either you guys fixed it, or the gremlins have decided to stop doing what they were doing. I just sent Ed a PM from both IE and Firefox.

So, thank you for your help.

Glad to hear it's working, let us know if it starts acting up again.

Domino effect. The slowness was directly connected with a server memory error. The "Forbidden" Error message is connected with a Security setting. Somehow, the server issue caused the security setting to malfunction and lock down something that didn't need locking.

Now that they are fixing the server, the other goes away. Working with software can sometimes be like flipping a switch in your living room and ending up turning on a lamp in Australia
