Default Seiko 7009a Rotor

Hi all,

I have a Seiko 5 (7009a) with a bad rotor bearing, does anyone know where I can find a rotor with a decent bearing? I've trawled all over the internet, so far no luck...

Many thanks!

Oscillating weight 7009 i have seen a few around. Look at 7005 as 7s26/36 also. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Seiko-17-jew...MAAOSwUKxYd2F2
You can buy a new weight at cousinsuk for a 7S26 . If you don't mind it says 7S26 on the rotor. Or ttake the bearing and put it on your 7009 rotor.

Have you given the bearing a clean and lubrication?

7009 are available in abundance on Ebay. I'd take a shot at an auction for a golden watch or something no one else wants... It's a bit of a gamble, but you won't pay very much.

One day gold 7009s will be requested to be reissued and NOS ones will fetch thousands...

They already reissued a lot of the funky/freaky ones. For a lot of 7009-XXXXs you can replace the 7009 with 7S26 and get the same watch with a different movement
