Default Sumo bezel insert change.

Hi folks,
I plan on changing the bezel insert of my blue Sumo from those large numbers to something a bit more reasonable. I just ordered a new one from Harold at Yobokies.

I searched for some instructions on how to do this, but couldn't find any. Can someone provide me with a link to how to DIY.

Much obliged!

If you need a step-by-step guide for job like this, I recommend that you have a watchmaker do it. To begin with, the Sumo bezel is extremely tight, and is easy to make damage when trying to remove it with improvised tools. It also requires a press to be reinstalled. But you need to remove the bezel if you want to remove the insert without damage, by heating and with a correct die from the inside.

JDM is correct.

The Sumo bezel is quite tight!
Insert is held in place by adhesive and should come out by working it around from the underside with continued finger pressure but the bezel must be removed first and this will scratch up the case if you're not familiar with the process.

I recommend having and experienced watchmaker perform the bezel removal and reinstallation.

Find out if your watchmaker feels comfortable that he can do this without damaging anything.

Default Thanks for the advice!

I'll find a watchmaker for this change.
