Awesome timepieces. I have a JPS. Amazing Seiko was able to fit the 6138 cal in such a small packaged case. Looking forward to seeing the restorations and outcome.

Have you got any pictures of how the JPS crystal and chapter ring sit in the case. Are there any gaskets or spacers etc.
Just wondering because I have a case etc but not sure how it all fits together or what I'm missing.
Thanks

Looks like you have a couple of fine candidates to restore.

I am going off memory here and you can check some of my pics on the case rebuild I did on a similar JPS several months back. The chapter ring is attached to the dial so you have to be careful handling it. There is a flat gasket that sits on a flat shelf just under the crystal. Surprisingly, the crystal on these is flat on the bottom and does not set down into an L gasket channel as you might think but sits down onto the gasket and is simply held in place with pressure from seating the outer metal bezel ring when it snaps onto the case. Not sure how water tight this case would be but it all goes together nicely and works.
