Default After Market Cases

Folks

seems like there is a supply of after market cases
SKX
MM
6105

love 'em all but my favorite
that sits just right on my wrist is a 6309

I may have missed it, but dont think any one making one

1)
is there a vendor?
2)
why not

I know our man Ridwan can make one offs
but i was thinking the shops pounding out the Skx and MM would spit out
drilled lug 6309's taking modern movements......

Any info lads?

Real ones are readily available and still at a reasonable price. Especially the 729X, why bother with a knock off?

i agree, but so are 007's

i have a few 6309 cases in the box
varied conditon, not drilled lugs
not prestine by any sort

by the time i get them to me
1) i have time invested in finding them and negotiating
2) cost of watch plus shipping

I would be a buyer at Point and Click for a ready to go case

just my Two Satang

The closest one ever came to re-creating the 6309 cushion case was the late Noah Fuller who with his partner Jake Boudreau aka Dagaz Watch, created the Tsunami. Unfortunately, I believe they are long gone unless Jake undertakes to make some more. I doubt that would happen and moreover, why would anyone bother seeing Seiko rolled out their SRP series a while ago?

Edit: I reckon I should have looked at the OP more closely. Figured what I said is pretty much old hat to most, sorry 'bout that

LOL
kinda like women: The Chase

However for both of them i no longer have
the patience and tolerance

Also, if I was not a single dad to a 6yo girl
i would have a little more time

Note:
I have a Dazaz typhoon, love it, but still a bit too big for me

The 6309 just hits a good spot on my wrist

I may break down and have Ridwan make a couple
titanium
steel
and a bronze

What the heck, my daughter will wear them as jewelry
she may never learn to tell Analog time LOL

I have a 013 and 007 matching set to build for her too

Crystaltimes has the CT702, which is a SRP-style case that uses SKX parts. My digital caliper thinks that it's about 1mm wider than a 6309-704x, and probably a bit longer as well. FWIW, I think the build quality on these is pretty good. Attached is one that I built up a while back using a parts-bin (Sumo?) dial and some other stuff.

Don’t forget they have the CT704 case which is a direct replacement for the SRP ‘Turtle’ case.

I agree about the quality, it is quite good. I used a couple of the CT701 cases and was pretty impressed with the quality

I have TST'd quite a few of Crystaltimes SKX/SRP cases and imo as good as OEM.

I'm puzzled why anyone would want a watch that turned their wrist green?
