Citizen 8100a loose second wheel / cannon pinion
I'm struggling with this very loose second wheel and cannon pinion as can be seen in this video I made here:
The two parts have good friction but both sideshake and some endshake are evident. I'm assuming that this will be improved once I place the train wheel bridge, nevertheless, I think it's faulty. I tried to get a photo of the pinion here.
The jewel seems intact.
What do you think would be a good approach to this problem?

I am just taking an educated guess based on the video but it could be the hole jewel in the main plate is worn and allowing the movement you demonstrate in your video.
I have seen another well known Seiko watchmaker test this piece in the movement with the dial on and hands removed by taking tweezers and trying to move the cannon pinion back and forth. if there is movement side to side then the hole jewel in the main plate is worn and needs to be replaced.
My own experience with a bad center wheel and cannon pinion was evident by very loose hands while setting time. The slightest touch on the crown stem would alter the time. I also noted the watch was losing time over a given period of time even though the regulation was set correctly. This was the cannon pinion slipping on the center wheel pinion. I replace the center wheel and cannon pinion with new parts and everything was good. Prior to this, I was advised to take a pair of tweezers and gently squeeze the cannon pinion outside the movement prior to installing it on the center wheel to provide additional grip. I even tried putting it in a pin vice and applying some pressure to try and tighten it up a bit. These techniques did not work for me in this instance.
