Default Pair of 6119-8160's Restored

I picked up a pair of 6119-8160's a while back and got around to restoring them last week. Both needed a service, new crystal, and hands relumed.

Silver Dial- August 1968

A great deal of satisfaction and sense of achievement to be obtained by doing this sort of work.

Love seeing watches given another lease of life.

Well done.

Thanks fellas ! I'm quite pleased with both. The cases I left unpolished, just cleaned. They're not great, but not too bad to warrant a polish.

I like the way you've got bracelet to fit as well. The Jubilee (or jubilee) fits particularly well imho

Lol Mike, thanks. Yeah we know what a pain hands can be. If your watch was rose gold those would have looked beautiful on it.

Thanks Paul. The Jubilee does fit it quite nicely. The other is a vintage Bambi from around the same era.

The hands needed to be stripped, polished, and relumed. It's the same polish and rust remover I use to polish the chrome on my bike. Turtle Wax Polish and Rust Remover, I use it to clean any corrosion on watch cases and parts, it works very well.

Here's a couple of photos to try and show the dial colors a little better

I like that one better too. The silver is almost like chrome.

Great job! I have a August 1968 charcoal 6119-8160. It really is a very sharp dial. Seeing yours, I think I need to take the strap off mine and put it on a bracelet.
