In conjunction with my restoration topic for the 6106-8589 I felt a need to think date dials, in particular for the 6105, 6106, 6119, 6309 & 7548 movements.
The first point when sourcing a dial is that one must determine the crown position for the dial being sold or listed. I have yet to find one that has reference/part numbers on its rear...someone will now put up a picture of one with a reference number We must therefore rely on the sellers knowledge of this aspect.
Also, the following assumptions assume movements for 4 o'clock crowns.
801-610, Black text on white = black text on chromic anodised aluminium then over lacquered. Lets call this BToW
801-611, White text on black = white text on black anodised aluminium then over lacquered. Lets call this WToB
The 6105, 6106, 6309 and 7548 all use the same dial, 801-610, BToW.
The 6119 uses 801-611, WToB.
I think the dial remains the same regardless of the movement type A, B or C.
Does anyone see any issues with my assumption.
Also, while the 6117 uses a 801-613, BToW, will it fit the above movements.
