You might want to put it horizontal before filling it with fluid....

Awesome - I had an ancient, second-hand L&R PC3 that finally just crapped out. Will be looking into a new L&R soon. What sort of solution are you using in it? I've tried several different home-made recipes, but haven't felt fully satisfied with one yet...

I am no expert but I believe L&R make some nice cleaning and rinse solutions for watchmakers. Others can opine on what they use specifically. What I typically do is use small sealed jars of lighter fluid (Benzine) to clean my parts. For the balance assembly and pallet fork I use One Dip and do not run them through the ultrasonic. I know others do. I immerse the jars in warm water about three quarters of the height of the jar and then turn on the ultrasonic. I had been using a cheap Sparkle Spa up to this point. The L&R should give me much more ultrasonic cleaning action.
