Default 7606 Main Plate

I picked up what looked like quite a decent 1965 Sportsmatic 7606. Everything looked great until I removed the mainspring barrel. The main plate is gouged and looks like someone purposely dinged the plate.

I have a 7625 to compare, no match, no spot milled for the day disk function. The 7619 does have both day and date. Does anyone know if the 7606 shares a main plate with a sister movement like maybe the 7619 or other?

I see the base for the 7619 is the 7625 and as it has the separate push button for the date change like the 7606, I'd be surprised if the tech sheet, if one existed, wouldn't also list the 7625 as the base?

Crazy damage....maybe you could ream and rejewel, filing away the area around the arbor hole to tidy it?

Somebody tried to tighten a worn arbor port? What a mess. It’s a shame.
