Default New Tuna shrouds screws, question.

I have just opened a brand new package of screws for a Tuna shroud and for some reason all of them had no coating for a thread or two half way down the thread, have you ever seen this ?

Default New Tuna shrouds screws, question.

Same reason Achilles heels were vulnerable, because that's where they were held when they were coated maybe?

Yep i'd imagine that's where the wire was wrapped around them when they were anodised or coated with whatever is on them.

Arr yer that'll be where they're held, DON'T FORGET PVD / ION coating IS A LINE OF SIGHT PROCESS, very different to electrolysis plating and powder coating.

The holding while coating was my theory as well but not knowing the coating process I dident know if they where dipped or not.

Default Re.

Imo they look to have been rushed, the screws would look better with the wire wrapped neatly under the screw head MUCH NEATER.

Enjoy the vid>>>
