Default Canada has lost another music icon - R.I.P. Neil Peart

I was blown away by the very sad news that Neil Peart, the drummer of Rush passed away on January 7 at the age of 67. He succumbed to brain cancer or more specifically glioblastoma which also took Gord Downie of The Tragically Hip. I had no idea Neil was that ill. Apparently he fought for about 3 years or so. What a tremendous loss. Neil was arguably one of the best percussionists out there.

I saw the news story about his passing this morning. Such sad news and a tremendous loss for rock music. He will go down in history as one of the best drummers who ever lived! R.IP. Neil.

Sad loss indeed and way too young. RIP Neil.

The beauty of famous authors, scientists musicians or other contributors to society is that in their passing their works remain for present and future generations to enjoy.
