One forward slash on the left side only = 1981.
One forward slash on each side =1980

Thats a nice lot John. The Millenium one would originally have been in a tin with a booklet. Its titanium coated i believe.

Heres a few of my favourites.
Click on the pics to enlarge.

Invincible class carriers, Ark Royal, Illustrious and Invincible.

I managed to get these before they went off to Turkey for scrap, the ships that is, not the lighters.
20191109_191422.jpg

HM yacht Britannia.
I was given this one by one of the crew, in leiu of a taxi fare.
20191109_191610.jpg

No idea where this one came from, but its one of the oldest i have. 1968.
COMCARIBSEAFRON (Command caribean sea frontier) was i believe, a U/S naval excercise.

Really nice those Ivor. I used to have a black one in the 90s at some point...no idea where that went. The Invincible one is it? That is nice. 1968 one looks great.

Here is the only one I have. A few years ago I built a replica of the zippo lighter pistol that was used in the original Man from UNCLE back in the 60's.
It now sits on the bookcase in the man cave next to the Man from UNCLE pen.

I'm one of those 'dirty bastids' that still smokes, not indoors though, it's too nasty. I've always used a Zippo, got a couple packed away in a box somewhere but these are out laying about. Never could stand an unreliable disposable. A zippo has always lit in any weather or temperature, something the knock offs don't do.

My well worn daily

And a couple others laying out

Novelty knock off, it sucks. Takes 4-5 strikes to light most of the time so I don't use it.
