Default Salmon Fest #2

We had a few friends over last night for another salmon cookout. This time my wife wanted to prepare salmon cakes.
Very delicious.
The concoction in the fruit jar can be very hazardous to your health...pineapple,coconut moonshine.

Oh that looks tasty Michael! Just curious, ever poach a salmon in the dishwasher? I know it sounds weird but I tried it when I was living in Vancouver. It was cooked perfectly but more a novelty than anything I reckon. Btw, that elixir your wife prepared sounds tempting.

Mmmm, looks tasty! You ought to share the Recipe. How much of the catch have you gone through, plenty left still?

Hi Rey,

It only takes 1 lb of salmon for 12 salmon cakes or 2lbs for 24. My wife said the recipe came from Ina Garten..Barefoot Contessa from the Food Network. They were excellent.
We still have over 90 lbs left to cook.!

Hi Russ,

Never poached any but will did smoke some about 3 weeks ago. The smoked salmon is also excellent with remoulade sauce on toast or cracker. The attached pic is smoked salmon.

Looks great Michael! Salmon is one of our favorites but it's probably not as tasty as those you caught.
