Default Sunday family dinner

For generations my family has gathered every Sunday for dinner. I've kept this tradition going. Family should gather at least once a week, it instills and reinforces values, helps guide the younger generation, and passes along sage advice. I know why we respect elders and why our ancestors sought them out for answers and advice. Something that seems to be missing these days. Today I made my 'signature dish', Eggplant Parmesan and Chocolate Pudding and banana pie for desert.

I'm drooling on my keyboard looking at your pictures!

Kudos to you for continuing the family tradition and instilling the values for the younger family members. That's something that seems to be sorely lacking in today's society.

Thanks fellas, family is everything.

Neil, you know if you come to the states you have a place to stay and I'll feed you well. I'll even make my BBQ Ribs. I know you guys don't get BBQ there like we have here.

Looks very nice there Jerry and that rib recipe is still a regular winner here.

Looks like the egplant is firstly crumbed and fried prior to getting the sauce and parmesan and then baked?

I was going to skip breakfast this morning until I saw your wonderful and delicious post! No time for anything fancy though. Glad to hear you are keeping the tradition alive.

Thanks! I'm glad to see you liked that recipe enough to keep making it. Yes, the eggplant is breaed and fried 1st, then stacked i layers with sauce and parmesan cheese, topped with mozzarella.

Thanks Phil, if you were here I'd make you a dish. I miss those days with my sons, now I pick up the grandsons to do things.
