I may buy one when all the hoop-la dies down and the prices settle back to under $200.

I've seen where they will be back in stock in September. I'll get one then. I waffled the first time.

Funny but when I was in my teens and got a watch as a gift from whoever it was
The watch always seemed to be a Timex yet as I grew older I always looked on them as cheap watches family gave you as a present yet with fond memories,I also loved the Indiglo derivative versions.
I recently added a couple of Timex to my collection.

+1 - agreed. A bit of a scramble right now and no reason to pay the higher prices.

Same - I remember several Timex watches I received as a kid. They were always fun to get and to wear. I guess we knew they weren't high end but it didn't matter.

Lot of things I didn't appreciate as a kid ....

Me either Mike. I didn't start appreciating a lot of material things I had until I started working and had to pay for them myself!

Ahhhh. Ok. gotcha.

Only difference is the original Timex had the Q on the dial. So it's o.k.

Timex did good with the Marlin reissues, and I'm a fan, but I think they missed the mark on this one by using a PC33 movement. Not going to win me over with a $9 Hattori movement, and that's retail price. I just don't see anywhere close to a $180 watch here. Even the American Documents watch mentioned is a $30 Ronda movement and @ $495 for that one it's way, way over priced. They're just playing on the Timex name and lack of watch knowledge.

Kenny if you look closely the Seiko “X” on the new Prospex range Dials
(which everyone seems to dislike) is actually a cool Disguised “PS” or “SP”
Depending on your choice “Prospex Seiko” Seiko Prospex!😜👍

Right you are Sir. I only realized it a few months ago. Chris Williams pointed it out in one of his reviews. I'm in the minority that thinks it's quite alright.

Kenny I’m all for change and upgrades Etc as that’s going forward but to me Seiko doing reissues with an “X” on the Dial seems like money for old rope and I just don’t buy it,I just feel Watch buyers are being cheated a bit after buying original versions the first time round to have the same models reintroduced but with an X on the dial.
Citizen on the other hand are hand balling new original models out and it’s refreshing just like Casio who seem to have new models weekly,Seiko needs to get back on their game and go forwards not backwards.
Just my opinion of course.

We’ll know that Timex has really arrived when we start seeing all sorts of bad fakes up for auction. Could happen any day now if demand stays strong.

Cool animated Video👍

Anyone else hear a little “Bond” overtones in the Music?
I also saw a little live and let die Speedboat jump in there as well!!

Not a bad looking Watch which had me back to being about 13 again.
