Default What's with the sponsored posts by Mazda?

Just noticed with another forum member the "sponsored" posts/threads by Mazda -

Curious what the deal is and if we'll see more of these to come .....

That doesn’t sound good, and against my understanding of the original agreement with VS regarding advertising. Can you please share the offending posts here?

Thanks,

John confirmed with IT that it's a new ad code that was installed, and we are seeing more already. Maybe the cause of the data base errors and issues with posts not showing up?

thanks Jerry - it's unfortunate no official announcement was made by the administrators that this was coming ... just kind of dropped in and left for all to speculate.

Apparently they weren't informed either. It seems that John and Noah were both just as surprised as us. It looks like only us in the states are targeted too. I feel were singled out and I need to go to my safe space now.

thanks Jerry - and to be clear, when I said "administrators" I was not including John or Noah in that generalization. I know they were both unaware as well.

I think it's pretty shitty that the moderators weren't even informed.

It's definitely broken for everyone. The "what have you coming in the mail" thread shows that Reflex wrote the last post at 8:07 AM, but when I click on it, I just land on the top of the last page and his post does is not shown (instead the last post is by John_D at 7:45 AM).

Edit:
Try this link: https://www.thewatchsite.com/showthr...61#post2768761

This should be the direct link to his post as taken from the "Active Topics" overview.

The Mazda ads are so ridiculous that I'm getting turned off to the product. JMHO.
