Bad Contacts at Ebay
Sold a watch last night via ebay. After accepting an offer the buyer told me that he has (suddenly) lost his credit card and can't pay via paypal. I would say this is just plain crap. He wanted to see where my limit is.
Anyhow I thought that I maybe not the only one with having bad experiences on the bay. For this reason I would like to install a thread where we can post all the dubious ebay contacts. Perhaps this can save one or more of us in the future before some disappointment. Here are my candidates:
yosuk_hott - selling watches that are not his own. Watches are all up on yahoo japan. Paid for a KS chronometer but alas - his watchmaker broke it. Looks like there is a tendency with him to give watches to a bad watchmaker...
tbt-65 - Not paying.
Robin Ritter - Not paying.

watch-9 - Also sells watches that are not his own. He seems to just copy and paste them from Yahoo Japan.
He was offering a 6106-8120 for about twice what I paid the original Yahoo Japan seller. Days after the watch arrived, watch-9 still had it listed on ebay.
I don't know if this could be considered a scam, dishonest, or even wrong. Maybe he is working with the seller?
For me watch collecting is a diversion from troubling existential thoughts. It is obvious that we are engaged in a murder suicide pact with the other species on our planet. The climate disasters have begun to occur on an upward acceleration curve. As they become more frequent, leading to crop failures, mass migrations, military conflicts etc. our inedible watch collections won't mean much.
All I can do is try to live a decent life of kindness and generosity.
