Hi Gents,
I am very new to forum and starting to get practice... I would like to receive your support in checking the originality of a watch I found in a drawer of my dad's house. It seem a seiko 4205-0155 but I saw many pictures in the internet with a different second hand. What do you think? Furthermore the watch starts to run immediately when shaked and also may be wound manually keeping good reserve. The question is that it is running very fast and the second hand is stuttering do you think is a easy to fix problem? Thanks for your help ![]() |

Welcome to the forum.
That seconds hand does not look original to me - all the ones I have seen on the 4205-0155 have a "lollipop" seconds hand. If you have a look at this thread from this forum https://www.thewatchsite.com/34-watch...ll-almost.html there is an explanation on how to fix the stutter issue. As for running fast, it could well be that the watch is magnetised and would need demagnetising. But given that you found this in a drawer in your father's house, then the watch will no doubt benefit from being serviced. |

Thanks for your reply and advice.
I think this watch has been laying in that drawer since the early 90' then I guess none could have changed just the second hand in a time when all this aftermarket things have not yet appeared or available from the bay. Could it be a JDM piece? My grandfather's hunt was an airplane pilot and used to bring also watch from his journey in Japan in the 70'. |
