Picked this up as a lot from Raymond as I kind of like them
Stripped it down this morning it’s not ticking in the sunlight and appears that the solar panels been damaged in some way
Movement looks clean and time and quickest functions both work
Bit of a shame really Untitled by biglewie, on Flickr
I thought it may tick without the secondary battery but it doesn’t- should it.?
The dial has what appears to be a mark behind it
I may whip the hands and dial off later and take a look
Bry I doubt Citizen uk would support this model now it’s quite old
Dahasco
what should I look for beneath the dial?

Aloha Paul,
Paul try a new ....CELL FIRST .
If then it still works better remove the .........Solar Panel and try to clean
it but let it evaporate by itself if it can do that.
If need to ....light Dabs on the panel.
You could try using a hair Dryer from some distance to check if it goes away.
I had one of these and that is what I did.
It is simple to do and it works but do not ....remove the moisture with hard
brushing on the ...Panel.
CELL'S .... are quite in price but it works for getting it back going good again.
They are made to work ....WITH the Watch ... efficiently and Warranty also.

Paul ,
That Dial Material and the solar part can be taken off on many watch's but very carefully.
It should separate from the backing plate similar to the .....Aqualand C506 & C500 series.
That picture looks like it has Moisture between.
Caution:
It could be some .....Oil or Grease also so be careful with it.
Louis
The cell should be easy to find everywhere. Movement will be tricky, as those are quite pricey. I usually see them for sale around $80-100. If you bought the watch from ramon, in non running condition, movement price would most likely cost more than the whole watch.
Paul I have found that I tried using some ...Puff's Of Air .... from a hand pump
I have here gently letting the ..... Air Blow Between the ......
( Solar Panel Film and the Dial itself ) ...and it separated it so I could get them
apart and it worked for me on a couple of them.
Moisture collected can make it look like it is now.
Air in a can can be also used but from a distance so it separates.
You have to hold the ..... Movement in your hand and gently .....
Blow The Air and squirts ...... at it.

Ok dial removed and cleaned (it’s gone a little opaque but ok I think) cell and crystal on order
2 chances
Will look ok under a new crystal I think Untitled by biglewie, on Flickr
Nicely done Paul. I reckon it will look really good when finished. What is the cell made of then on these and how is it replaced? Where are the contacts for the solar cell?
Thanks Guy
It’s a button-type titanium carbon lithium rechargeable lithium-ion battery, it’s the same as replacing a normal battery
I presume the solar cell connects thraight to the watch movement- the cells just a secondary power source for when there is no light (I think)
