I like that, prob would not buy myself, but who cares? I hope the original poster likes it and if he does and he’s happy, what’s not to like, I’m the same, not an expert just buy what appeals to me!

The vintage watch quartz are worth collecting especially if your collection is quite complete in term of mechanical watches. It was a stage I reached and I felt in love for Seiko Quartz as Divers ie. the Seiko Tuna 7549. I have a few vintage swiss quartz as well. I find the quality of ESA more or less equal to Seiko Quartz. But for Chronograph Quartz movement, I think Seiko is better than Swiss.

It's funny how some of us like something about watches and others find the same thing annoying! I'm a "quartz guy" and I like the fact that quartz watches - usually - tick once a second. I see it as being particularly accurate and fit for purpose. A second hand measures the passing of seconds, so of course it "only" moves once a second.... :-)
And with some solar watches without PR, a two-second tick is your only indication of low power. (I've only seen that once in an Eco-Drive.)
